Children may be placed in the primary classes for their first year of
the Elementary Program. All placement depends on the academic and
emotional progress a child has been making. The teacher, in consultation
with the parents and administration, makes a recommendation on the
placement of students.
The classes at PBMS are small so that the child and the teacher can
relate intimately to each other. This allows the teachers to give individual
attention each day to every child. The average Primary class size is
twenty students. The average Elementary class size is twelve students.
Parents are provided with opportunities to observe their children during
the school year. The channels of communication are open through
parent-teacher meetings, parent education evenings, parental
opportunities to help teachers in class and the school newsletter. The
weekly newsletter informs parents about what is going on at school,
upcoming special events and other important calendar dates.
